Peekaboo Forest – a few layout ideas for you

Somehow, I almost missed the Peekaboo Forest bundle. I think it came out in the March Online Exclusives – but I recently saw it and it had to come home with me.

These critters are SO cute and can peek out or around in various ways some of which I am sharing here.

On this first one I used the Exposed Brick embossing folder for them to peek over. The dies make it easy to cut out the animals and then they hook over the wall. The grass and die for the grass also come in the bundle. All my colouring was done with Stampin’ Blends from the skin tone combo packs as well as Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake.

The second one features the tree stamps and dies. We have layers of stamped and die cut tree in Old Olive above. I stamped the tree trunk on Crumb Cake and used a Blending Brush to add some Pecan Pie ink to give texture. The dies also cut out the hole for our bear to peek out of. I added the woodpecker on the side too.

For this final one I actually used a woodgrain embossing folder which I had on hand. In order to get the angle right, I drew a pencil line where the embossing folder would go and then stamped the critters at an angle so the bottom paw would be just on the edge. I was happy with how this one turned out.
