For the Books Birthday Cards

When I launched my For the Book Lover Class, I promised to share some more cards made using this fun stamp set.

This first birthday card features the For the Books stamp set combined with elegant script and ink splatter details from Elements of Text, which I think co-ordinates beautifully.

I coloured the books using Stampin’ Blends in Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight and Misty Moonlight – the the ones at the bottom coloured in Smoky Slate. To top it off, the birthday sentiment is fussy cut and placed on torn Azure Afternoon cardstock, to add some texture and contrast.

The next card I am sharing today also features that Elements of Text stamp set this time with a more vintage feel. I drew shelves using Pecan Pie and Basic Black Stampin’ Markers and used a blending brush to add some Crumb Cake ink to give the card an aged look. This time I coloured some of the books in Balmy Blue blends. I do love the little eye-glasses!

    1. Yes the stamp set and die bundle is still available from Stampin’ Up! while stocks last. Speak to your local demonstrator. If you are in the UK and don’t have a demo let me know.
