Hello! I’m Liz Shannon. I’m married to Michael, a songwriter, musician and restorer of 1930s cars. We have been together for over 40 years and he is my greatest cheerleader.
How I got started with Stampin’ Up!
Let me share a bit about my journey as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. Based in the UK, I have been a demo since 2009 building my ‘Elizabeth’s Craft Room’ business. When I started, I didn’t know a single crafter but with excitement, a passion for creativity and some hard work I grew my face-to-face business to welcome over 50 lovely ladies to my classes each month.
My Demo Achievements
I’ve ranked in the top 10 for sales in the UK for several of those years, have presented at Conventions, OnStage and most recently at BackStage. I have also twice earned the Incentive Trip. However, my proudest achievement came in 2014 when I was awarded the Heart of Stampin’ Up! It was an honour I will always cherish.
I am required to say that fewer than 1% of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators earn the incentive trip and there is no guarantee of similar results.
Why Ready Set Demo?
A few years ago, I set up my Ready Set Demo blog to help my team and fellow demonstrators around the world achieve their goals and thrive in their own businesses. I created ready to teach classes to save them time and shared my experience, business tips and ideas.
My Recent Challenges
After running classes for 16 years, I have had to cut back number of in person events I teach due to pain from arthritis. I still teach my lovely ladies from time to time and keep in touch with my customers around the UK. Less classes is sad – but it gives me more time for what comes next.
What’s Next?
As I look to the future, I’m excited to continue this creative journey, share new projects, and inspire my demo friends to unleash their artistic and business potential. I believe that crafting is not just a hobby; it’s a way to connect, express oneself, and create lasting memories. The connections and friendships I’ve forged throughout this journey have been invaluable, and I cherish every moment spent with fellow stampers. I truly could not imagine my life without my Stampin’ Up! friends.
